Chaos Artwork, Displayed
Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at 4:35 PM Ladies and Gentlemen:
Introducing the album cover for our new EP, Chaos Theory, Explained. The new CD is currently in the hands of the LOCAL replication company and is being pressed as I type. It will only be a few more weeks before you can finally get your hands on your very own copy....

A lot of people have been asking what an EP is? The short answer is that an EP is too long to be released as a single, but not long enough to be released as a full-length album. In the case of Chaos Theory, Explained, the CD clocks in at 20:40 with 7 songs. The retail price will reflect this. EPs are often used by musicians as a way to shop their music to record labels, experiment with a new sound, and/or promote an upcoming full-length album.
A special thanks to Dan Dockery for the black and white landscape photo. I've long been a fan of his website, obscureplaces.org. Additional thanks to my Mother and friend Cindy for digging up and transmitting the 'plus sign' photo from some experimental photography I did in 2001—I knew it would come in handy someday! Last, thanks to the following people for their input on the design: Luke, Ph!l, Josh, Kelly, Todd, Megan, and Joa.
Chaos, Butterflies, & Ed...
Saturday, July 11, 2009 at 6:44 PM ...and trying to explain it all.
This might not be as easy as I expected, but it's coming whether we are ready or not.

Masters of the Universe
Sunday, June 28, 2009 at 10:56 AM The writing is done. The recording is done. The mixing is done. The mastering of Chaos Theory, Explained is now in progress. Until the music is ready for your ears and the artwork is ready for your eyes, I offer you the following screenshot of the album as it's visually processed by the mastering software. Enjoy. And, welcome to the knife drawer...

The war is on, and I'm not sure which side to take. I must say, though, I really enjoyed Switzerland during my most recent visit.
Sticks and stones will break my bones
Thursday, June 18, 2009 at 8:27 PM Each day brings us closer and closer to the release of Chaos Theory, Explained. As proof, I am proud to give you our lyrics for the new album. Please peruse, evaluate, discuss, and ask questions. After all, they're written about you and me. Don't worry—they won't hurt.
You'll find a few familiar friends in this album including a remake of Temporary Opportunity titled Temporary Opportunities and yet another chapter to the saga that is American Heart (Yes, this is version number 4 for those keeping score at home).
n.joy the lyrics!
After much deliberation, Plastic Thoughts and American Heart Zero have been set aside to streamline Chaos Theory, Explained into a snake-oiled expressway of audible gratification. But don't fret, the scraped songs are in primo condition and safe keeping for future reference. Until then, enjoy your independence from the British—because the revolution will soon be knocking at your door.
Out of my head in the studio
Sunday, June 7, 2009 at 10:39 AM Take a sneak peak at the some of the recording process for Chaos Theory, Explained—dropping soon! And if you're unsure whether or not you want to watch this video, just listen to what my 3-year-old cousin, Summer, had to say while watching it: "I don't know about this, Neal."
Clinically-insane props to Todd B. and Colbert for the help.
You can check out other videos at YouTube. n.joy!
(I was) Curious Yello
Thursday, May 28, 2009 at 5:07 PM Curious Yello is back? Sort of...
Ten years ago Luke Graner came into the record store I worked at and confirmed that we were, in fact, starting a band. That band would be known as Curious Yello. After a successful album, numerous shows, and a sponsorship by Leinenkugel's, Curious Yello called it quits. Never a band to submit to the corporate calls of shameless publicity stunts, we have decided against a reality T.V. show in favor of releasing XYZ: Rarities.
XYZ: Rarities is a collection acoustic songs, rare takes, demos, and previously unreleased material. Two favorites include an acoustic version of The Longest Yard and a studio version of the "lost track" from Wish, Out of my Head.
Purchase your copy NOW! This is a limited-edition, hand-printed, individually-numbered release.
